What does the price include?

The documents required to create your file are:

- Identity card (front and back)
- Driving licence (front and back)
- PHV card (front and back)
- Proof of address for at least 3 months
- KBIS/ SIRET Number valid for the last 3 months
- Bank account details

What does the price include?

The price include insurance, 6,000 km, servicing, maintenance, technical inspection, 24/7 Europcar assistance and a replacement vehicle.

Are there any extra costs?

Above 6,000 km, each extra kilometre is charged at €0.23 (VAT included)
You are charged €50 (VAT included) for each additional driver
To benefit from the Swikly service, which allows you to secure a deposit via card pre-authorisation, you must pay a total of €50 (VAT included)

What payment methods are accepted?

The accepted payment methods are direct debit via bank, or direct debit via Uber Direct Payment.

How do I pay the deposit? What does the Légereté service include?

You can pay the deposit by debit card. If you do not have sufficient funds, you can pay €50 (VAT included) for our Lightweight (Légèreté) service which allows you to secure the deposit via a bank card pre-authorisation.

What happens if I go over 6,000 km per month?

You will be charged 23 cents per kilometre (VAT included).

How does the direct debit method work?

Direct debits are taken every Monday if you choose weekly payments, or the first day of every month if you choose monthly payments.

How does the sponsorship scheme feature work?

Both the sponsor and the sponsored person receive a €100 discount on the next invoice. For example, if you have recommended a friend and you have a 6-month contract for a vehicle in the superior range, you will pay €890 the following month instead of €990. Your friend will also receive €100 off their first bill.

What is Uber Direct Payment?

Direct Payment is a payment method offered by our partner, Uber, which allows you to automatically and directly pay your Bettercar rental payments, from your Uber account. Deductions are made at source from your Uber revenue. Your receipts and payments are itemised on your Uber account. You avoid possible bank charges in the event of a failed direct debit payment to Bettercar.

What do you do in the event of a technical breakdown?


In the event of a technical breakdown, you must phone the Bettercar team on (+33) 01 80 20 94 58 from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 18:00, or 24/7 Europcar France assistance on (+33) 08 00 35 40 00. Replacement vehicle

Am I allowed to travel with my vehicle?

You are free to travel anywhere in France in your vehicle. However, if you leave the country you must tell the Bettercar team in advance. The Bettercar team reserves the right to refuse your request.
